Oak Folding Chair
The Brief
The client requested a contemporary take on an existing, antique folding chair, handed down by his parents.
The Process
Design and built as a functional statement, the new chair had to be strong in its contemporary form but sympathetic to the existing antique chair.
David perfected the mechanics of the chair using scrap metal to ensure the piece would neatly stack. The chair was then manufactured in solid Irish oak and finished with solid brass pins and hinging components.
The Result
The result is a beautiful contemporary piece, built to last.
