Black Ash High Stools
The Brief
The clients requested a contemporary, angular high stool, for their commercial premises.
Used primarily for client consultation meetings at a design-based business, the clients wanted to create custom seating providing their customers a unique experience right from the beginning.
The Process
A full-scale prototype assisted in determining proportion, ergonomics, and comfort before the finished pieces were built.
The stools were manufactured in solid ash and were hard wax oiled in a black tint. The seat was hand-carved and joints between components were cut and fitted by hand.
The Result
The result is an ergonomic contemporary piece, made to impress.
